Plasma Sterilization Air Purifier

Product Details

Plasma Sterilization Air Purifier — Product Details

Product Overview

The Plasma Sterilization Air Purifier is a high-performance air disinfection and purification device that utilizes advanced bipolar plasma ionization technology to actively neutralize airborne bacteria, viruses, allergens, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Unlike traditional passive HEPA filtration systems that rely solely on capturing pollutants, this device generates a high-energy ionized plasma field that proactively breaks down harmful microorganisms and organic compounds through reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals. Designed for residential, commercial, and healthcare environments, the purifier delivers rapid, filter-free sterilization with minimal ozone emission, making it a practical and sustainable air quality solution.

Core Technology

Bipolar Plasma Ionization System

The device employs a dual-polarity plasma generator that releases both positive and negative ions into the air. These ions attach to airborne contaminants — bacteria, viruses, mold spores, pollen, dust mites, and pet dander — and neutralize them through a combination of physical and chemical mechanisms. The plasma generates electrons, ions, excited atoms, molecules, and reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) that oxidize bacterial cell membranes and viral envelopes, leading to rapid pathogen inactivation.

Cold Plasma Discharge

The system uses a cold plasma (non-thermal plasma) discharge process. A high voltage is applied across discharge electrodes to generate a glow discharge and streamer discharge, creating a stable plasma field without significant heat generation. This ensures safe, continuous operation while effectively sterilizing airborne microbes.

Multi-Stage Filtration Integration (Optional)

For enhanced particulate capture, the purifier can be configured with an integrated multi-stage filtration system, including a pre-filter, HEPA H13/H14 filter, activated carbon layer for odor and formaldehyde removal, and a molecular sieve. The plasma stage works synergistically with filtration, extending filter life and ensuring comprehensive air purification.

Ozone Emission Control

Advanced models incorporate an ozone decomposition catalyst to maintain ozone output at extremely low levels — typically below 0.003–0.05 ppm — well within EPA and FDA safety standards-. This makes the device suitable for occupied spaces, including bedrooms, offices, and healthcare facilities.

How It Works

  1. Air Intake — Ambient air is drawn into the device through the air inlet by a high-efficiency fan.

  2. Pre-Filtration — Large particles such as hair, dust, and lint are captured by the pre-filter.

  3. Plasma Sterilization — Air passes through the plasma discharge zone, where high-voltage electrodes generate a cold plasma field. Reactive species (RONS, ions, electrons) oxidize and inactivate bacteria, viruses, and mold spores.

  4. HEPA & Carbon Filtration — Remaining fine particles (PM2.5, PM0.3) are trapped by the HEPA filter, while VOCs, formaldehyde, and odors are adsorbed by the activated carbon layer.

  5. Clean Air Output — Purified air, enriched with negative ions, is released back into the room, contributing to a fresher and healthier indoor environment.

  6. Continuous Operation — The device can operate continuously or be set to timed cycles (1–8 hours) via the control panel or remote control.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Active Sterilization — Unlike passive filters, plasma technology proactively neutralizes pathogens in the air, achieving over 99.9% inactivation of bacteria and viruses including H1N1, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

  • Filter-Free Sterilization Core — The plasma sterilization zone does not require filter replacement, reducing long-term operational costs.

  • Low Ozone Emission — Ozone output is controlled to be within EPA and FDA safety limits, ensuring safe operation in occupied spaces-.

  • Washable & Reusable Components — Modular plasma generators and metal foam collectors can be cleaned and reused, extending product lifespan.

  • Quiet Operation — Operating noise as low as 20.2 dB(A) in sleep mode, suitable for bedrooms, nurseries, and offices.

  • Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring — Select models feature PM2.5, CO₂, and TVOC sensors with LCD display, providing instant feedback on indoor air quality.

  • Smart Control — Available with remote control, touch panel, and app-based control (Wi-Fi models).

  • Multiple Form Factors — Available in desktop, wall-mounted, floor-standing, and portable configurations to suit different space requirements.
